Meet Amber

Amber came into our lives not long after we moved into this house.  She was a tiny, bold and sassy gray kitten that jumped onto a window screen and stared into the house from the outside.  David decided to feed her something and opened the door.  Too our shock and surprise this kitten, Amber, prissed her way right in the door and made herself at home. At that time we had a male dominated house with TeeJay and Pepper  both being very large cats we worried about this tiny gray kitten.  Could she hold her own?  Would she live to see her next meal?  Well not only did she hold her own she also ruled the house within about 2 days.   She would jump on Peppers back and ride him until he'd had enough.  You see, Pepper was a 25lb Maine Coon and Amber was a tiny maybe 3lb Gray /Blue Chartreux back then.  I think when our beloved Pep went missing we all mourned his loss, even Amber.

Her name fits her perfectly, Amber, is a character from my favorite TV show at the time, House MD..   House did not like Amber and he had a special name for her.  I won't mention it here but if you were a House fan you would know.

Amber also has her cat "pole" that she loves to dance on and the more you pet her the more she will dance.  She is older now and has lost some of her spunk and Amber can be a little hussy sometimes but she is still my baby girl!  Her favorite thing after petting and dancing is snack time.
