Clutter and Axel

Do you ever just sit and look around the room you are in and become overwhelmed by all the "stuff" that needs to be cleaned, straightened, dusted, swept, mopped and put away?

If you are anything like me then you love your "stuff".  If you are anything like me then you hate to throw anything away.  If you are anything like me then that is a really really bad combination.  It can lead to an unorganized mess of magazines, books, nick-nacs, photos, clothes and cat toys.

Have you ever noticed that the clutter of "stuff" in the room can also represent the clutter of "stuff" in your mind?  And that clearing that clutter of "stuff" in room can amazingly clear the "stuff" from your mind.  I am always in awe of how the two go hand in hand and how much better I feel when "stuff" is organized and de-cluttered.

This is a goal of mine for 2014,  to remove some of the "stuff" from my home and my mind.  Now I just need someone to hold me accountable to meet this goal.......  Any takers?

Meet Axel, this baby boy was found in the wheel of a car parked at Iuka Baptist Church in mid August of 2013.  It was determined that he was about 6 weeks old at the time he was found and given to David and I by David's brother Mike and niece LeeAnn.  We took him to the Vet and he was very healthy other that the ear mites invading his tiny ears.  He has since been neutered and had all his shots and made himself quite at home.  He is very rambunctious and very loving.  Axel spends his days terrorizing the other cats and sleeping.  As you can see he is jet black with long legs and a very long tail.  I must confess that I did not want to take him in because we had just suffered the loss of our sweet Norwegian Forest Cat Flash to a respiratory illness and I didn't think I could bring another cat into my heart or home.  But David trumped my no and brought our Axel in and he loved his way right into my heart and helped to heal the loss of our beloved Flash Cat.  Axel is going to be a big cat!!!  I love big cats!
