It's New Years Eve!!! What is ahead for 2014!!

I could start off by saying I am going to lose weight in 2014 and I am sure I will....  But I will also gain it back sometime in 2014 and then lose it again.

I could say I am going to practice my yoga daily and be more serious about it....  But I won't do it daily or be more serious about it.  Some days it's just easier to sit and think about doing it.

I could say I am going to eat all natural and have 2 green smoothies a day.... But I will eat things that are bad for me in a weak moment, I am in fact only human.

However, this is what I will be doing:

I will be going to beautiful Portland, Oregon to see my Son Dustin, DIL Stephanie and my Grandson Nolan Adam several times in 2014.  He is the most adorable child in the world and he gives the best hugs!!

I will be going to Madison, Mississippi more often because I will be a CiCi (grandmother) for the 2nd time in February when my Son Eric and DIL Krystal bring my sweet baby boy Weathers Riley into the world.  He is being named after my Mom who passed away in March 2013 and Krystal's grandfather.  I can't wait to meet him!!

I will continue my job search.  You see I am by profession a Mortgage Underwriter and I work remotely from home.  I am also a victim of the "biz",  when rates go up I get laid off and when rates go down I get hired.  Right now they are high and I am jobless.

I will continue to learn more about this disgusting disease MS.  I will read and learn and be my own health advocate.  There is hope on the horizon with stem cell research.

I will continue to love my cats, read cookbooks and blog!!

Happy New Year!!!

Hello blogging world

My name is Cindi Murrah......  No not the Cindy (with a y) Murrah that is a  Registered Nurse.  Cousins married Cynthias and I shortened to Cindi (with an i) and she shortened to Cindy (with a y).  It can get crazy in a small town with 2 Cindi Murrahs.

This is the first of what I hope to be many blog posts.  I dream about having a following of readers far and near, of course you have to actually start a blog and write something first.  Well here I am blog world.

As you can tell from the title of my blog I love my cats. TeeJay, the elderly Tabby, Amber, the prissy Chartreuse, Zorro, the whiny Tuxedo Cat, Axel, the Black (Wild) Cat and Boosh, the outside Russian Blue.  Three that have past on, Toot and B&W Tuxedo with FEL.  We cared for him 5 years when he passed.   Pepper our beautiful Maine Coon that loved to go outside.  I believe he was stolen by someone that knew he was a fancy breed.  And Flash our sweet but dumb Norwegian Forest Cat who died from a lung disease of some kind.  We mourn the loss of Toot, Pepper and Flash.

I will introduce each one at a later date and show you pictures.

I love cookbooks.  I have 130 or more cookbooks in my shelf collection and at least 50 on my Kindle.  My favorites are family, local community, church and club cookbooks.

I also love Food Network Chef Cookbooks and my new favorite is The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drumond.  I just got her first cookbook from Amazon a couple of weeks ago.  I love how she has a picture for every step taken to make a recipe.  She is very down home and I love that she gives away a lot of great stuff on her blog.  May be someday someone with ask me to have a giveaway!!!!

I love to just sit down and read a cookbook.  And I intend to keep collecting these books until I 1) run out of funds to purchase a new or used cookbook via Amazon.  2) Dear friends stop giving them to me (please don't stop) and 3) I stop traveling to new places and find new cookbooks to read in local bookstores and thrift stores!  I will be sharing some of my favorite cookbooks with you also.

I love to read blogs.  Cooking blogs, cleaning blogs, self sustainability blogs, cat blogs and MS blogs.  I will share some of my favorite blogs along the way.

One of my favorite bloggers in Stephanie Parker @ Plain Chicken.  She does a Meow Monday with her 3 cats Jack, Fluffy and Sherbert.   I may have to do a Tail waging Tuesday or Scoop the Poop Wednesday.  You get the picture, fresh cat pictures once a week!!

I also have MS or Multiple Sclerosis and that is a thorn in my side.  This too will have to be shared slowly along the way with some great MS Blogs and encouragement.

I hope to be sharing this blog in the future on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.  Please let me know what you think by leaving a comment.
